In Loving Memory of Koko “Hoofie” Colson
October 9, 2009 – January 18, 2026
Koko, lovingly known as Hoofie, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. She was more than a dog—she was family, a constant companion, and a quiet source of comfort and loyalty. Though small in size, she filled every space with her presence and made sure her voice was always heard—her bark a reminder that she was truly the one in charge.
Hoofie loved her family (Karen, Kabrya, Kyra, Krysten). She especially loved untying shoe laces and sunbathing; soaking up the warmth as she watched the world around her. Hoofie shared an unbreakable and loving bond with her family. She was also the protector and confidant to her best friend, Dad. Wherever he was, she was close by—whether anxiously waiting for bites of his food, sitting proudly in her personal chair outside while he enjoyed a brew, or simply keeping him company. Their time together was filled with routine, love, and an understanding that needed no words.
As the head dog in charge, Hoofie took her role seriously, keeping the pack (Athena, Jasmine, Kleopatra) in line with confidence and calm authority. She ruled with quiet strength, just as she lived—steadfast, observant, and deeply devoted to her people.
Hoofie passed quietly in her bed surrounded by her best friend, family, and her pack, just as she lived—safe, loved, and at peace, leaving behind a space that can never be filled. She will be forever missed, always remembered, and carried in the hearts of those who loved her most.
Run free, sweet Hoofie. You are deeply loved, and you always will be missed.
